This 100% Cabernet is very rich and forward in classic flavors of blackberries and cassis. Oak barrels bring spicy, smoky, vanilla accents that complement the fruit. The wine is a soft and herbal in the way of Alexander Valley Cabernets, and is quite elegant, and a good deal for the price.

Bright ruby-red. Aromas of red berries, tobacco, mocha and smoky minerals, with suave notes of spicecake and rose adding complexity. Juicy, penetrating red fruit flavors become sweeter in the mid-palate and repeat the floral note. There's good minerality here, which adds a nervy underpinning, but the fruit is to the fore right now. Finishes with good juicy cling and echoes of rose and cherry. The wine's sneaky tannins bode well for aging.
